Advent: waiting with hope.

The Annunciation of the Lord. (Lk 1,26-38)

This design aims to collect the beginning and the end of the passage of the Annunciation of the Lord, when the angel of the Lord visited Mary. That night was for her the beginning of her patient waiting for the Son of God and for the rest of humanity, the beginning of a new relationship with God Father.

Although in our society today, Christmas time has been paganized in an exacerbated way, in Advent we are invited to look with humility at God made a fragile baby in a manger and with empathy at all the difficulties that Joseph and Mary went through. while waiting for the Son of God.

Despite the angel’s visit and the fact that they were experiencing the glory of God, surely seeing the need to go to Bethlehem for the census and get there and not find any room to rest would definitively create some stress for them, especially knowing that their son was the Son of God.

I think this very human situation is captured exceptionally well in the animated film «The Star» (2017). I encourage you to see it with your whole family this Advent to generate empathy with Joseph and Mary and why not, to see the ox and the mule of the portal with different eyes ;-).

As said before, this design includes the beginning and the end of the annunciation passage, with two possible phrases to choose from:

  • A first, with the phrase “Rejoice”, which was the Angel Gabriel’s greeting to Mary. This greeting of the angel to Mary invites us to live in the joy of feeling loved by Christ, in knowing that we are his Sons, and in being aware that he is going to fulfill his promise to us.
  • A second option, with the phrase “and the angel went out”, reminds us that accepting the mission that Christ entrusts us does not imply that it is a simple mission or without difficulties. Living under the God silence sometimes is a strong learning for our daily lives.

Which one do you like most? Choose it in our online store and reserve it. This design will only be available during Advent…
