Efettá, that means open up.

The miracle of opening to God (Mc 7, 31-37).

Efettá means “open” and this is the Word from Jesus towards a deaf and dump after healing him. It could be just another miracle, however the signs and the words that Jesus used in this miracle are replicated still today in the catholic baptism celebration, where the priest, touching the hears and the lips of the baptised says: “ The Lord Jesus made the deaf hear and the dumb speak. May he soon touch your ears to receive his word, and your mouth to proclaim his faith, to the praise and glory of God the Father.Amen»

The design represent an ear, where the message from Jesus get fixed and a second part in green, that represent a house with the windows open, representing such openness from ourselves, not on a personal level but at family level, and our homes to the Gospel of Jesus.

This design has been inspired by the lyrics of the song titled Efetta, from Iesu Communio that you can find and listen to here (https://iesucommunio.com/effeta-hoy-el-esta/). This song, not only talks about the openess to the Lord, but also it encourages us to keep the hope in its victory (that is the reason of the green in the design) from the humility of asking him to increase our faith.

In a society where people just look for the material assets, where short term and pragmatic decisions are encouraged and where humility lacks in many places and attitudes, this design calls to build our lives in three solid pilar for a catholic: the trust in God, the hope of sharing its glory and the humility to request more faith in Him.
